Mariam Boyd families,

I want to reach out to provide you with an update about a situation affecting our school. Last Thursday, the District received a report of alleged misconduct by a teacher toward a student. The teacher was a contractor employed by CareStaff Partners and was not an employee of Warren County Schools. The allegations against the teacher do not reflect the values and caring nature of our school or our staff. That teacher has been removed from the classroom. We also reported the allegations to the proper authorities.

I think of every child in this school as my own and expect them to be treated with respect at all times. Because our students with special needs are our most vulnerable children, I know they require extra support, patience, and care and it’s our responsibility to make sure they get it. So in addition to being their principal, my role also includes being their advocate, supporter, and protector.

We take allegations of misconduct by employees or contractors seriously. Our top priority is to always provide a safe and supportive environment for all students. The allegations of misconduct are under review, and we will take appropriate action based on the outcome of that investigation.

Federal privacy laws prohibit us from sharing details about the allegations and our ongoing review.

In the meantime, I want to remind families and students that if you observe improper conduct by an employee or anyone in our schools, please report your concerns immediately to me or our District Human Resources Department.

As always, thank you for your continued support of Mariam Boyd Elementary School.

Principal Davis
