ATTENTION STUDENTS: As a student with Warren County Schools, you now have free access to Microsoft Office 365. You have the option of loading Office 365 on your computer or you can use the online version. Below are instructions to load it on your computer. Please note that these instructions will only work for computers running Windows. This will not work with Mac or Chromebooks. However, you could skip the install part and use the online version with those computers. To get access to Microsoft Office, go to this site: Office.com/GetOffice365 Then type in your WCS email address in the box and click Get Started. On the next page you will fill out the information to create your account. Remember that password, you will need it later. After that you will see an invitation page. Just click skip on that page. You will then probably get a few Welcome popups. Just close those. To download Office click the Install Office button in the top right of the window, then select Office 365 apps. The installer will start to download. When it is done, run the installer. Instructions for how to do that will be on the screen. The installation can take a while to run, so be patient. When it is done installing it may ask you to activate Office. Just sign in with the account you just created to finish.

Superintendent Update: 1. At 3:30pm today, Governor Roy Cooper held a conference call with all NC Superintendents & BOE chairs. 2. After counsel with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, they are recommending that we remain in school.  3. Their recommendation is that we continue to do what we've been doing, such as frequently washing hands, using hand sanitizer, keeping your hands out of your face, daily & frequently bleaching classrooms and buses. 4. In addition they have stated that closing school doesn't stop the spread of the Coronavirus.  5. We are in communication with the County, Emergency Services and the Health Department. In addition, our County Commissioner is ready to assist us. 6. Once again,  frequently washing hands, using hand sanitizer, keeping your hands out of your face, daily & frequently bleaching classrooms and buses greatly assist in not spreading germs.  7. As your school Superintendent, our goal is to ensure that our students and staff are safe and our students are educated. 8. I am requesting our normal process when students are sick.  If your child is sick, please keep him/her home to avoid the spread of germs.  9. Thanks for your continued support in this matter. We will keep you updated if we receive new information.  Have a great weekend!
