Dr. Young is meeting with the Superintendent’s Faith Based Advisory Committee
Greetings Warren County School's Parents and Staff. Due to the impending threat of severe weather,we will reschedule the IEP Workshop scheduled for this evening at 6:00 pm. If you have questions, please feel free to reach out to Shana Brown, Exceptional Children's Program Director at 252-257-3184 Extension 1237. Thank you. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you or your family. Have a safe afternoon and evening.
Attention all high school students, Warren County Schools is excited to bring you the 2019-2020 after school STEM Enrichment Activity Program. Are you interested in joining the high school FIRST Robotic Team, the Eagles of the Knight and compete against other high school students in the state? How about testing your ability to build and launch a rocket to a predetermined set distance while safely delivering your egg cargo to the ground without a single crack? Do you have what it takes to design and build a car powered only with the force of gravity and enter that vehicle in a competition? These are just some of the things that are planned for you.
If you are up for the challenge all you have to do is register by signing up at your school’s office or reception desk. Transportation will be provided for those students who need it and register in advance. We will meet twice a week on Mondays and Wednesdays from 3:30 to 5:00 pm. The first meeting will take place on Wednesday, November 6, 2019 in the SEMAA lab at WCHS.
There are no cost or registration fees to participate. So take advantage of this opportunity and come out and engage in the activities, and by all means let’s show the world what the students of Warren County can truly accomplish.
I am challenging all seniors to apply to at least one college. Let's see which high school has the highest participation. The winning school will be honored at the next Board meeting.
In an effort to better understand the experiences of students in Warren County Schools, Superintendent, Dr. Mary L. Young shadowed Cadet Dykes a student at Warren County High School.
I have several advisory councils that I work directly with to provide feedback and insight on school district initiatives and issues. Therefore, I thought that it would be very beneficial to have a Superintendent Faith-based Advisory Council and hope that all county pastors/priests will be available to attend the initial meeting scheduled for Thursday, October 24, 2019.
This meeting will begin at 4:00 p.m. and should conclude at approximately 5:30 p.m. and will be held in the multi-purpose room at Warren County Middle School which is located at 118 Campus Drive, Warrenton, NC. I am excited about starting this new council and working with the faith-based community. I look forward to seeing everyone on October 24, 2019.
Superintendent, Dr. Mary L. Young recognized the Principals for their hard work and dedication at this month’s Management Team Meeting. Thank you Principals for all that you do for our students.
The Warren County Schools Board of Education held their monthly meeting at Warren County Middle School last night.
This message was sent out previously; however, there was an issue with the survey link. This has been corrected and everyone is encouraged to complete this brief survey.
In order to get to know and better understand the people, programs, partners, and the community cultures that support the Warren County Public Schools, I need your help. The following is a Warren County School District New Superintendent Survey. It should take you no longer than five minutes to complete and should be submitted by October 30, 2019. https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/VSD6GQJ
