Northside K-8 Parents: Today was our first day merging all our in-person instruction elementary students. It was overall a huge success we had 175 students which includes our A group middle school students who attended school in person today. The rest of our students did a great job signing in online for remote instruction. Northside K-8 School we will be hosting a Spring Virtual Curriculum Night for Northside Elementary students on April 15, 2021 at 6:00 p.m. Kindergarten students will have a separate day, because their teachers will be conducting Kindergarten registration on that day. Northside Middle School's Spring Curriculum Night is still to be determined. More information will be coming out regarding when that event will take place. The Krispy Kreme doughnut fundraiser has been extended until April 16, 2021. Thank you so much to the students who have started turning in their money. Top seller prizes range from bikes to money gift cards. Just a reminder, no teacher led classes remote or in-person are conducted on Wednesdays.

Northside Bulldog Parents: We have been receiving calls that bus drivers are not picking up Elementary School students who are on B day. I do apologize, because an announcement went out last week in the Warren Record, by the Elementary Principals and District Office. The announcement stated that there is no in-person A and B schedule. Both in person groups for the elementary school are now combined. However, middle school students who receive in person instruction will still be on an A and B day schedule. I have contacted Mr. Alston, Transportation Director, and informed him of this issue this morning. Students will receive credit for today, but will need to log in remotely. Parent Reminder: No students can be dropped off without clearing CDC COVID19 morning check which starts at 7:45 a.m. The school day ends at 3:00 pm. If there is a pattern and these guidelines are not followed, students will be placed on remote instruction.

Happy Easter Bulldog Family! Spring Break ends on April 6, 2021 and all in person elementary leveled registered students will now be coming to school on the same days (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday). On Wednesdays there is no in person instruction or teacher led remote instruction. There will be no more A/B days for elementary students. However, middle school in person instruction registered students will continue attending school on the A or B day schedule. Information about merging elementary in person students posted in the Warren Record last Wednesday. Remote students will remain remote for the rest of the school year, and continue to receive the same quality instruction online. Parents if you have any further questions please contact your child's teacher. Teachers were already made aware of this major change.

Northside Bulldog Family Reminder: Spring Break has officially started today March 27, 2021. Spring Break ends on April 6, 2021 and instruction will begin again. Please continue to be safe and enjoy this well needed break! Principal Dunbar

The executive cabinet has made the decision to allow students to bring their lunch to school if they choose. However, there are certain procedures that must be followed. 1. No sharing of food 2. No reheating food in the microwave 3. Student must be able to open his/her food containers on their own 4. Protocol to discard the food

Parent Reminder: Spring break begins on March 29, 2021 and ends on April 6, 2021. School begins again on April 6, 2021.

Parent Notification: Students in grades 3rd-8th grade will be taking benchmark this week (March 22-26, 2021). Students may not have specials in the morning. Please check with your child's teacher for schedule changes.

Parent Reminders: Grade Levels 4th, 5th, 7th, and 8th grade will start in-person instruction the week of March 22-26, 2021. PreK-3rd grade and 6th grade students will be returning for their 2nd week of in-person instruction. Parents please make sure you know what group your child is in A or B Group. If you are unsure please reach out to your children's teacher. Group A Students Attend School Monday/Tuesday Only. Group B Students Attend School Thursday/Friday Only. No In-Person Instruction On Wednesdays.

Parent Notification: March 18, 2021 No Face To Face Instruction Due to Inclement Weather and Tornado Warnings. Northside K-8 School teachers, administration and staff members will be working remote tomorrow. All classroom instruction will take place online. Teachers will be adjusting the attendance for all students who may experience internet connection issues tomorrow. If teachers are unable to get on to the internet tomorrow, they will send out Dojo notices to parents. Parents please reach out to your child's teacher, if you experience internet issues tomorrow. Northside K-8 School Curbside Delicious Meal Pick Up Reminder: Hours 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Daily. On Friday's multiple meals are provided for the weekend. Northside K-8 School Reopening Return to School Grade Level Schedule: (Posted Previous on District Website) In Person Instruction Start Time: 8:00 a.m. Remote Instruction Start Time: 9:00 a.m. Week 1 March 15-19, 2021: Grades: PreK, Kindergarten, 1st Grade, 2nd Grade, 3rd Grade, 6th Grade and all EC self-contained Grades. Week 2 March 22-26, 2021: Grades: 4th Grade, 5th Grade, 6th Grade, 7th Grade and 8th Grade Students are now divided into two groups A or B : A Group comes on Monday's and Tuesday's Only! No Face to Face Teacher Instruction on Wednesday's. (District Wide Teacher Collaboration Day) B Group comes on Thursday's and Friday's Only! Master list has been created based on parents feedback listing students who are coming to school and those remaining virtual. All decisions are final for the remainder of the school year.

Parents Reminder: Students are to keep their laptops school issued or personal laptops at home for now. Your child will have a class issued laptop. Thank you for your cooperation.

Northside Additional Safety Precautions: Desk shields have been purchased for every student's desk. Desk arrangements are social distanced. Basic student school supplies for each student have been purchased. Students have their own personal plastic boxes to store items in. Pocket storage chair hangers have been purchased for each student to store personal items in. Individual divided storage cubbies have been purchased for PreK-2nd grade students. Warren County Schools District Wide Changes: All students and staff members must wear a mask in order to gain entry into all buildings and schools. Student and staff mask will be made available for any anyone who doesn't have one. All students and staff members must pass temperature checks in order to gain entry into all buildings and schools. Afternoon and prior to boarding the school bus home, temperature checks will be conducted to ensure student safety. Parent building restrictions are still in effect for all grade levels. Students are not allowed to bring water into the building. Purified water will be provided upon student request. Uniform Dress Code Suspended Remainder of the School Year! (See dress guidelines posted on Warren County Schools Website). The use of group playground equipment such as slides, swings etc. are prohibited until further notice. Hand sanitizer stations can be found throughout every school building. Air purifiers are located in each teacher's classroom. A classroom window will also be opened to continue air circulation. COVID-19 Killer Defogger machines and disinfectants will be used daily after students and staff members have left. Pool noodles and floor decals purchased to serve as social distancing reminders for students.

Northside K-8 School Bus Rider and Car Drop Off Changes: Parents starting on Monday, March 15, 2021 the following changes will be in effect: Car Rider Pick Up and Drop Off Location: Front of the Building. Bus Pick Up and Drop Off Location: Back of the Building.

Northside: Bus Transportation School Re-Opening Information: Parents if your child is scheduled to ride the bus, your child's teacher should have already reached out to you. Students will be picked up and dropped off from their home address provided by the parent(s). The Bus Transportation Department has requested that parents have their child ready and at the door. Since pick up and drop off times have not been provided to the schools, bus drivers will be honking the horn the first week. Parents please make note of the times your children are being picked up and dropped off. All parents will need to complete a "Bus Attestation Form," by the end of the week in order for your child to continue receiving bus transportation for this school year. The classroom teachers will be providing and collecting the forms for their students. We have no further bus information at the school level at this point in time. We thank you in advance for your patience as bus times and routes are being finalized.

9th Grade Registration Information Virtual Meeting: Scheduled for tomorrow March 11, 2021 at 6:30 p.m.. 8th Grade parents you should have already received a registration link from your child's teacher. The registration link was sent by Dojo, student email and placed inside the 8th grade math google classroom area.
