Greetings Vaughan Families,
This is Mrs. McMannen with your weekly update. I hope you all are having a great weekend! We are looking forward to an exciting week filled with engaging learning opportunities for our students!
Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate Field Day with us on Friday! It was a wonderful day filled with fun, teamwork, and school spirit. We truly appreciate your support in making it such a great success.
Our End-of-Year (EOY) Testing window opens tomorrow, May 4th. Students will take their iReady Reading assessment on Monday, May 4th, and their iReady Math assessment on Tuesday, May 5th. Please encourage your child to do their very best so that their results accurately reflect all they have learned this school year. Your encouragement at home makes a big difference in helping students feel confident and prepared.
This week is also Teacher Appreciation Week! We invite you to join us in celebrating our amazing teachers for their hard work and dedication to our students each day. A flyer was sent home with daily themes if you would like to participate.
Our student attendance rate for this past week was 88.92%. Our School Improvement Plan goal is 95%, and we need your help to reach it. Please continue to support us by ensuring your child attends school each day unless they are sick.
Thank you for your continued partnership and support. Remember: All In…We Win!
Warm regards,
Sophelia McMannen
Principal, Vaughan Elementary School
