Greetings Vaughan Families,

This is Mrs. McMannen with your weekly update. I hope you all are having a great weekend! We are looking forward to an exciting week filled with engaging learning opportunities for our students!

As we enter one of the most critical stages of preparation for our End-of-Grade (EOG) assessments, I want to emphasize the importance of consistent attendance—especially for our after-school Eagle Academy. Recently, attendance in Eagle Academy has declined significantly. This program provides targeted support to help students strengthen their skills and build confidence before testing.

We are asking for your partnership in helping us achieve our mission of preparing every student for success. Please ensure your child attends Eagle Academy on their assigned days and remains committed during this important time.

We are also excited to share that Field Day will be held this Friday, May 1st! Families are invited to join us for a day filled with fun, activities, and friendly competition. More details will be shared soon.

Our student attendance rate for last week was 89.17%. Our school improvement goal is 95%, and we need your help to reach it. Please continue to support us by ensuring your child attends school daily unless they are sick.

Thank you again for your continued partnership and commitment to Vaughan Elementary. Remember: All In…We Win!

Warm regards,
Sophelia McMannen
Principal, Vaughan Elementary School
