Greetings Vaughan Families,
This is Mrs. McMannen with your weekly update. I hope everyone had a great weekend! I can't believe this is our last full week of school! As we prepare to wrap up another wonderful school year, I want to thank each of you for your continued support, partnership, and commitment to your child's success.
We will have our School-Wide End-of-Year Celebration on Wednesday, June 3rd. We are looking forward to a day filled with fun and excitement as we celebrate our students' hard work throughout the year. We are hoping for 100% attendance so that all of our students can participate in the festivities!
Our 3rd–5th-grade students who did not pass their EOG assessments will begin remediation tomorrow as they prepare for retesting. We are confident that with continued effort and support, our students will be ready to show what they know.
Please mark your calendars for the following upcoming events:
🎓 Pre-K Promotion Program
Friday, June 5th
10:00 AM
School Gymnasium
🏆 K–4 Awards Day
Monday, June 8th
🎓 5th Grade Promotion & Awards Program
Tuesday, June 9th
Attendance continues to be a priority as we finish the school year strong. Our student attendance rate this week was 90.49%, while our School Improvement Plan goal is 95%. Every school day matters, and we need your help to reach our goal during this final week. Please ensure your child arrives at school on time and is present each day.
Thank you again for your continued support throughout the school year. Together, we have accomplished so much, and we look forward to celebrating our students during these final days.
Remember, All In... We Win!
Warm regards,
Sophelia McMannen
Principal, Vaughan Elementary School
