Greetings Vaughan Families,

What a GREAT first week of school! Thank you for helping us get our 2026–2027 school year off to such a positive start. Our students have been learning routines, getting to know their teachers, making new friends, and showing us what it means to be a Vaughan Eagle! We appreciate your continued partnership and support.

If you have not already done so, please complete and return the following forms as soon as possible:

• Health Information Packet

• Acceptable Use Agreement

• Student Information Form

These forms provide our school with important information and help us ensure that we are prepared to support your child throughout the school year.

Our Beginning-of-Year (BOY) testing window opens tomorrow, Monday, August 31st. During this week, all K–5 students will complete their mClass assessment. Parents, please encourage your child to do their very best! This assessment is not about being perfect. It is designed to help us understand what your child knows and what they are ready to learn next. We want their results to be an accurate reflection of their current skills and knowledge so that our teachers can provide the instruction and support they need.

For the safety of all of our students, ALL car riders must use the designated carpool line for both morning drop-off and afternoon pick-up. Please do not drop off or pick up students in other areas of the school. Thank you for helping us keep our students safe and our arrival and dismissal procedures running smoothly

We are only one lap into our Amazing Race to Success, and we have an entire school year ahead of us! Thank you for being an important part of our VES team. When families and schools work together, our students have the opportunity to go farther and achieve more!

Every Lap Counts! 🏁 Every Student Counts! 🦅 Every Day Counts! 📚

Remember: All In...We Win!

Warm regards,
Sophelia McMannen
