
Introducing our newest member of the Alpha Sigma Chi chapter of Phi Theta Kappa! We would like to congratulate Alexis Gonzalez-Lopez! Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society recognizes and encourages scholarship among two-year college students. The society provides opportunity for the development of leadership and service, an intellectual climate for exchange of ideas and ideals, lively fellowship for scholars, and stimulation of interest in continuing academic excellence. Membership is by invitation only. Students must currently be enrolled in a regionally accredited institution offering an associate degree program, have completed at least 12 hours of course work leading to an associate degree, and have a grade point average of 3.5.


Great news! Emily Davison has been invited to attend East Carolina University's P.I.R.A.T.E. (Pirate Institute for Rural Aspiring Teachers Educators) program! During this two day on-campus experience, participants will interact with current ECU teacher education majors and faculty and staff. Participants will learn about college life at ECU, explore the field of education through engaging and innovative activities and make meaningful relationships with peers.
