We will recognize our honor scholars on Monday, May 3, from 8:30 AM-3:30 PM and on Tuesday, May 4, from 8:30 AM-5:00 PM. Upon arriving to campus, please come to the front door. For your safety, and ours, you must be wearing a mask, and have your temperature taken, in order to enter the school. You will receive a certificate, medallion, small token and have your picture taken. Notification letters to our honor scholars are being sent out today. We look forward to seeing you on Monday and Tuesday! Congratulations!

WECHS is pleased to announce that junior scholar, Amarriah Hendricks, has been selected to attend the 2021 Governor's School of North Carolina.
The Governor's School of North Carolina is a 5½-week summer residential program for gifted and talented high school students, integrating academic disciplines, the arts, and unique courses on each of two campuses. The curriculum focuses on the exploration of the most recent ideas and concepts in each discipline, and it does not involve credit, tests, or grades. Scholars are selected to attend through a competitive process after being nominated by their public school unit or non-public school.
It is our pleasure to announce that every scholar in the Class of 2021 has been accepted to a 4-year college or university!
