Proud of the standout teachers at New Tech, including those who presented at a great virtual professional development workshop for all high school staff across the district yesterday afternoon!

Just a reminder that the make-up pre-ACT will be administered on campus tomorrow, Friday, March 19, beginning at 8:00 a.m. All social distancing protocols will be in effect. This is a great opportunity for sophomores, delivered free-of-charge as you plan for the future!

What a great opportunity we discovered at the public library; we can even adjust our bell schedule to make it happen during Joust! #WomensHistoryMonth2021

With the distinct possibility of inclement weather tomorrow, Thursday, March 18, all instruction at New Tech and across the district will be virtual following the abbreviated schedule with early release. Teachers will then participate from home, as well, in the virtual professional development sessions tomorrow afternoon. Please be safe!

Mrs. Grantham and Dr. Matney are sporting their green and having a little fun celebrating St. Patrick’s Day here at the Castle; remember that the building closes at noon today for a deep mid-week cleaning, and tomorrow is an early release day for teacher professional development.

Just a reminder to all our Knights! Wednesdays are now our asynchronous days with no regular virtual instruction to log in to; buildings will also be closed to all patrons and employees each Wednesday at 12:30 p.m. for a mid-week deep cleaning of each facility. This Thursday is an early release day with abbreviated bells allowing for teacher professional development in the afternoon. Friday will follow a regular school day schedule.

Wishing our sophomores the very best on the important pre-ACT this morning. Necessary make-ups are slated for this Friday, March 19, at 8:00 a.m. here on campus. All social distancing protocols remain in place.

Progress reports for the fifth six-week grading period were placed in the mail today and should be arriving at your homes shortly. As always, if you have any questions, please reach out to us here at school; the end of the semester/academic year is rapidly approaching!

Just a reminder that the pre-ACT will be administered to sophomores here on campus tomorrow, Tuesday, March 16. Students are to report by 8:00 a.m. and all social distancing protocols will be in effect. Best wishes to our Knights on this important precursor to the ACT.

Kudos to the members of our Class of 2021 and their parents as Graduation Day draws near!

It’s been a grand day here at the Castle as our seniors have been on campus for cap and gown photos, hands-on CPR training and student recognition; commencement is just around the corner!

Please see important information related to the return to school for those freshmen and sophomores reporting Monday; look forward to seeing you here at the Castle!

Attention, Seniors!
Please know that those of you have signed up for cap and gown portraits this Friday, March 12, will also have opportunity to complete the state’s hands-on CPR graduation requirement at that time. Many thanks to Nurse Williams for coordinating this with us!

Please know that we will be hosting a Title 1 informational meeting via Zoom next Wednesday, March 17, beginning at 6:00 p.m. If you are interested in learning more about this federal program and its impact on learning, please call us here at the school at (252) 257-3767 so we can share the Zoom link with you.
