Greetings Parents/Guardians, We are aware that some may have busy schedules. Today marks the eleventh day back to school. It is imperative that you fill out and return your child's/children's forms that were sent home on their first day. These forms helps us keep your child/children safe in case we need to contact you in an emergency, allow only authorized people to pick up your child/children, give us State Health Information Updates, and are important technology forms and fees to help your child evolve in his/her classroom using technology. Thank you for understanding our concerns for your child's/children's safety here at Vaughan Elementary. Cheerfully, Ms. Gia Northington Administrative Assistant Data Manager Bookkeeper

On June 19, 1865, Union troops freed enslaved African Americans in Galveston Bay and across Texas, two and a half years after President Abraham Lincoln signed the Emancipation Proclamation. This day came to be known as #Juneteenth, now officially a federal holiday. Learn more: https://s.si.edu/4eojDwh

Juneteenth. Freedom Day. “Nobody's free until everybody's free.” - Fannie Lou Hamer. Today, we celebrate the end of slavery in the United States and honor the resilience and strength of Black Americans. Let's continue to fight for justice and equality for all. The fight against slavery and systemic racism continues today. Image of black and brown fists of varying sizes raised in solidarity in the air.
