This is a free event including door prizes and Native American dancing, singing, and drumming. Items available for sale include Native American fry bread, hotdogs, chips, and drinks.


The Back to School Powwow is sponsored by the Haliwa-Saponi Tribal School, Halifax County Public Schools, and Warren County Public Schools Title VI Indian Education Programs.

Free $5 Meal Tickets for Title VI Indian Education Students with 506 forms on file and enrolled at the Haliwa-Saponi Tribal School, in Halifax County Public Schools or In Warren County Public Schools. 506 forms will be available If needed for parents/guardians to complete for qualifying students. While supplies last. Any proceeds will benefit the Unity Bound Group. Together we learn, grow, and succeed!
Reminder: Wednesday, Sept. 13 is an early release day for all Warren County Schools. All schools will dismiss students at 1:00 p.m.. Students will have the opportunity to eat lunch at school before dismissal. Thank you for your cooperation and support of Warren County Schools.

Gift cards can be left in the office with Ms. Northington. Please leave your name with the gift card so we will know who to thank! Please share to get the word out. We need them by May 5th.
